Employer-specific work permit/LMIA
These types of work permit lets you work for a only one specific employer. The name of the employer is written on your work permit and also the duration period for which you can work for. There are some other conditions you may have to comply with.
To apply for this type of work permit you are require to provide a copy of your employment contract along with one of the following
- A copy of LMIA (labour market impact assessment)
- Or an offer of employment number for LMIA-exempt workers)
